First up secretary Tom Hassett gave a detailed report of the clubs outing both on and off the field for 2018. His opening remarks of ‘A picture is a thousand words’ referred to the opening page of the report where Tomás Hassett proudly lifted the Tipperary Intermediate football trophy for 2018. The Secretary proudly announced that we were the first club in the 32 counties to boast LED Flood Lights at their facilities. He finished by thanking his fellow officers for their time and help throughout 2018.

He complimented both the Minor and U21 Panels for their time this year and noted that it was 34 weeks since our last U21 game an issue that needs addressing. Willie spoke proudly of the accomplishments of the Intermediate Footballers and how it was the hard work put in early in the year that gone them to this stage. He wished both the player and management all the best for Sunday. Willie paid a special word of thanks to Aileen Geehan and Carmel Butler who have retired from their roles within the club. He praised them for their time an commitement over the years. Chairman then thanked the officers of the Juvenile Club for how they ran the club during 2018. Paying a special thanks to his fellow officers at the top table, he noted that many a tough decision had to be made throughout the year. Willie wished County Vice Chairman Joe Kennedy, Assistant Secretary Tom Maher and Mid Secretary Catherine Dunne the best for the coming year. Signing off on his address Willie added that this would be his final year as Chairman and that if he had one wish it would be to see the Club win a County Intermediate Hurling Final in 2019.
