Club Notes 07/10/19

By Mark Dunne PRO

Intermediate: Our Intermediates fell at the same hurdle they did last year as they exited the County Championship following a 1-15 to 0-21 defeat at the hands of Sean Treacys in the Preliminary Quarter Final. Played in difficult conditions our lads unfortunately never got to the pace of the game and this ends their hurling interest for 2019. Our thanks to the players and management for the year which saw us claim the Mid Intermediate Title for the first time in 15 years.

Senior Football: With hurling interests ceased focus now solely returns to retaining our Senior status. On Sunday evening last we were drawn to face Galtee Rovers. There is no details of this fixture available yet.

U16: Our  U16 game succumbed to the weather last Saturday evening. This has been refixed for this coming Thursday evening at 6.30pm. They also face Ballypooreen in Ballypooreen on Saturday at 12noon.

U15: Commiserations to our U15 hurlers who had a 4-11 to 1-06 loss at the hands of Boherlahan last Monday. They dust themselves of and face Loughmore on Monday in Templetuohy at 7pm. This is a must win game with the winners advancing to the Semi Finals.

U13: Our U13 Semi Final also fell foul to storm Lorenzo last week. This has been refixed for this coming Tuesday night at 6.30pm in Templetuohy. If you’re about get out and support the boys!

Stewarding: We host a County Quarter Final next Sunday evening at 4pm with Kilruane taking on Clonoulty. This will be a very busy game with it being the final game of the weekend. We will require a large amount of stewards etc to be in place by 2.45pm. More details to follow during the week

County Boards Draw: Our thanks to all those who turned up to Everards pub on Friday evening last for the October County Board Draw. A great night was had with Sean picking up his September prize. Well done Sean!
