Pride of place in this week’s update goes to our under 17 footballers who today claimed their place in the A county football final. They put in a mammoth effort to bring the game against Arravale Rovers to extra time which they won comfortably in the end on the score line of 5-10 to 2-14. The boys left everything on the field and gave 100% commitment to every ball. One such player with this determination was Jimmy Campion who was unfortunately taken off with an injury and the club would like to wish him well in his recovery. Another example of this team’s strength as a unit was David Doyle’s willingness to take to the field despite being down to race 3 horses as jockey in Thurles today. This team now face near-neighbours JK Brackens in the final which may be played this Saturday 23rd of December. So we are asking everyone to get out your green and gold colours in support of this fantastic team who deserve our support.

Lotto-Our lotto jackpot rolls over to €11,200 next week-our lucky dip winners were Rachael Quinn-online, Pat Gleeson & Páidí Guilfoyle -Guilfoyle's and Gearóid O'Connor-Temple bar.

Juveniles: Congratulations to Colaiste Mhuire, Thurles and especially to Seán Lyons and Jack Reddan who played on their U17 Munster Final winning team. They played Hazelwood Dromcollogher with result ending Coláiste Mhuire 1-19, Hazelwood College Dromcollogher 2-15. Well done boys!

New years raffle: the last few tickets for our big raffle due to be held in Everard’s on Saturday December 30th are still in the local shops so please don’t miss out on winning one of the fanstastic prizes as well as supporting our juveniles, our ladies football and camogie clubs.
