Pride of place in this week's update must go to our under 19 footballers who, despite leaving everything on the field after them and playing in very tough conditions, lost their county final after extra time by the narrowest of margins on the scoreline of 2-7 to 2-6. Losses like this are hard to take but the club is extremely proud of this determined young team and would like to thank them for their efforts and for bringing such a buzz to the parish along with the ladies footballers for the past couple of weeks.  The management team of Tom Guilfoyle, Tom Hassett, Mark Ryan and Eoin Gorman also deserve huge praise for their time and efforts all year. 

Lotto: our jackpot will be €5,500 next Thursday. The 6 winners of our lucky dips were Catherine Dunne, Jim Quinlan, Dan Quinlan, Mary Bradish, Seán Everard and Eileen O'Neill.  

Ladies football: hard luck to our Junior ladies who played their hearts out in Abbeydorney Co Kerry on Saturday in the Munster Quarter Final. The final score was 5.13 to 5.08 in favour of the home side. A huge thank you to all who supported this great bunch of ladies all year both financially and on the sidelines. The support in Kerry was no different with fantastic numbers in attendance. Massive thanks to the players and management team of Odhran Lloyd, Elaine Harte, John Gorman and Pierce Meade who have been down at training since January, given huge commitment and dedication and given us many great days out this year. Roll on intermediate ladies football in 2025!

Juveniles: The season came to an end for the U’7s, U’9s and U’11 this weekend with a range of activities. The U’7s played against the parents in a mighty hurling match, which saw the U’7s take the win!! Well done to all those who took part.
U’9s rounded off their year with a great training session and U’11s played Fenians GAA (Johnstown) in Templetuohy also. After all the action on the field came to an end, all the children and parents enjoyed tea/coffee and hot chocolate and of course a few treats as well!!Huge thanks to all the coaches, parents and of course the players for their dedication throughout the year. See you all again in 2025 😀
