The senior, juvenile, ladies football and camogie clubs would like to offer our deepest sympathies to Claire, Joe and Eoghan Shelly and the extended Hassett and Guilfoyles families on the very sad passing of Aoife Shelly yesterday.

Aoife was a very valued member of the Moyne Templetuohy ladies football club and played a big part in winning the Junior A. Co. Final last year. At such a young age, she had already made such a remarkable impact, not only as an exceptional player but also as a beloved teammate and friend.

We, as the GAA community in Moyne Templetuohy and especially her ladies Football team mates extend our heartfelt sympathies to her mother and father, who raised such a talented, kind, friendly and determined young woman. We can only imagine the depth of their sorrow, and we hope they find strength in knowing how deeply she was loved and admired.

We know Aoifes grandparents Tom and Anne, aunt Aine and her husband Tom, uncles John and Tomas, aunt Trisha and cousins Eanna, Cathal, Jack, Paudie and Faye are feeling an immense loss, and we pray they find comfort in the beautiful memories they shared with her.

We also extend sympathies to all her camogie teams mates in JK Brackens and  the GAA community in Clonakenny.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.
