The Juvenile club are excited to announce the introduction of our GAA nursery programme ‘Acres of Fun’. Our U13’s were tasked with the job of choosing a name and Joey Doyle’s entry was the winning name.
We have always welcomed children from aged four into the Juvenile Club and we currently have a large number of children U7 this year. After many meetings and discussions we decided to set up the nursery programme to give the youngest members the chance to build their confidence, form friendships, develop skills and have fun in smaller groups.
Children born in 2017/2018 will now form part of the Nursery group, training will continue Wednesday nights at 18:30 with Mindy and Arlette Phelan will take the U7 group. All new members welcome so please spread the word.
We are also so lucky to have the expertise of Tòmas Hassett from our Senior Club who is working alongside coaches and teams from U5-U17 to develop a plan focusing on fundamental movement skills and strength and conditioning. This will have huge benefits to all children.
As we are progressing the club we need more help and support. If any parent is available especially with the younger age groups to help at training please let Jody or myself know.
