The club has decided to post a weekly update on ClubZap which comprises news from the 4 clubs in our parish - the senior and juvenile clubs, the ladies football and the newly formed camogie club. This will hopefully cut down on the number of individual notifications from each club whilst still keeping all our news in one place.

Winner takes all: we are delighted to inform you that we broke the €20,000 mark in fundraising from this initiative. It was a huge success mainly due to the massive support we received locally in both sponsorship and generosity in buying tickets. These funds will go into the development and maintenance of our facilities which are used by all 4 clubs. Not many people are aware that it costs in the region of €100,000 a year to simply maintain our fields, astro, floodlights and dressing rooms each year. Fundraisers like this one allow us to finish projects like the renovation of our first dressing rooms, which began last year. These dressing rooms were in bad need of repair and hopefully by the spring their re-opening will allow many more players to take to the field in the green and gold. The presentation of the Winner takes All prize to the winner Jack Ely goes ahead next week.

Lotto: Our lotto jackpot rolls over to €6400 next week. Our 4 lucky dip winners were Kathleen Kelly-Bingo, Mary Fox-Bingo, Dominique Williams-Bingo, Geraldine O Conor-seller John Sweeney.  Tickets can always be bought locally and online through ClubZap/our website, €2 or 3 for €5.

Operation Ireland Lights Up: the club will continue to light up its walking track in Templetuohy field every Wednesday night from 7-8pm. This event is open to all members of the public. You do not need to be a member of the GAA club. All we ask is that you sign in on arrival each night to ensure numbers can be submitted to the GAA each week.

Ladies Football Club: Congratulations to Róisín Daly on being named as part of the Tipperary Ladies Football Senior panel for 2023. Their league campaign commences on Sunday 22nd January at home to Westmeath.

Camogie Club: Our U14’s had their first training session of 2023 last Wednesday. Despite the rain they were thrilled to be back and it was super to see so many back training. Please keep an eye on Clubszap for training updates as U12 and U16 training will start in coming weeks. Any queries in relation to membership/joining the camogie club please contact Áine Concagh (086) 871 3352. All new members welcome.
