Club Notes 02/04/18

Fixtures: With Tipperary now qualified for the National Hurling League Final, the following is rescheduled club fixtures: County Intermediate Hurling Championship Round 1: Moyne Templetuohy vs Ballinahinch, Saturday April 14th at 4.30 in Templederry. The following weekend sees football Intermediate Championship vs Moycarkey. Fixture details to be confirmed. Mid Intermediate Championship vs Thurles Sarsfields Sunday April 29th at 5pm in Templemore.

Minor: Our Minor Footballers continue their good run of form where on Wednesday night last they had 7 point victory over Holycross Ballycahill and on Sunday afternoon had 6 points to spare over JK Brackens Óg. Round 4 will take place on Wednesday April 25th to accommodate County Fixtures, where they will face Na Sairsealaigh Óg in Templetuohy.

Membership: With the March 31st deadline now passed all members should have Club membership paid to Hugh Coghlan or Theresa Everard. Any persons with outstanding membership is asked to give it to any member of the Club Committee ASAP. Patrons who have not paid for membership are not covered under insurance and will be unable to request tickets for inter-county games.

Inter-County: Congratulations to Tomás Hamill and Paul Maher part of the Tipperary Senior Hurling panel who have qualified for the league final following their win over Limerick on Saturday night last. We wish the lads and the entire Tipperary team all the best as they take on near rivals Kilkenny.

Ladies Football: Hard luck to both Helen Cleere and Niamh Dunne who were part of the Tipperary Ladies U14 Team who narrowly lost out to Kerry on Saturday. Fantastic achievement with the two girls making the panel.

Easter Camp: Well done to all the juveniles who took part in this years Easter Camp in Templetuohy. The kids enjoyed three days of hurling and football in cold conditions. Our thanks to all the coaches and in particular Mindy Doyle who co-ordinated everything over the three days.

Sympathies: At our recent club meetings votes of sympathy were passed to the families of the following, Martin Moylan, Richie Butler, Catherine Barton, Peg Ely, Ned Connolly and Margaret Gavin. May they all rest in peace.
