Club Notes 05/06/17

Home2Home: Templetuohy was the setting for the first part of the Home2Home tournament which took place on Saturday morning last. Huge numbers took to the road in the early morning for the 5K run where food was kindly sponsored by Temple Bar immediately after the run. Next up was the 5-a-side football tournament which saw 25 different teams take to the field where a tremendous afternoon of football ensued. Later on in the evening the fun and excitement turned to Clane where the runners who left Templetuohy were welcomed into Clane amongst bug crowds. Our sincere thanks to all those who helped organise the day’s event and to those who contributed to this phenomenal cause. Many thanks to Billy Loughnane who took the world of pictures and they are now available to see on his Facebook page.

U14: Our U14 Footballers take on Clonmel Commercials in this year’s County U14C Football Final which will take place this coming Saturday at 11am in Ballylooby. Our u14‘s have had a tremendous year so far and we wish them all the best in the County Final. Your Support as always is much appreciated.

Intermediate Football: Our Intermediate Footballers are scheduled to take on Moycarkey Borris in this year’s Mid Tipperary Intermediate Football Final this coming Saturday evening at 7pm in Holycross. Please note that this fixture is subject to change and final confirmation on it will be known on Tuesday evening. Your support though will be appreciated on the day of the game.

County Board Draw: The Tipperary GAA Draw has been postponed to June 9th as requested by clubs so there is still time to join to win the top prize Renault Kadjar or €30k and plenty of other cash prizes. If interested please contact any club committee member.

Clubify: Due to the introduction of costs in running the Clubify App, the club will no longer use the app commencing in the coming month. I urge all members to follow us on Facebook and Twitter and to log on to our Club Website www.moynetempletuohygaa.ie for all up to date fixtures, results and news. The club will also use a WhatsApp group and if you wish to be added to this group you are asked to send your name and number to PRO Mark Dunne on 0870672132 during the coming week.

Sympathies: At our recent monthly meeting sympathies where extended to the families of Mixie Travers, Ann McNamara nee Kelly, Matt Kennedy and Peggy Delaney. May they rest in peace.
