Club Notes 11/03/19

U21: Pride of place goes to our U21 Footballers who have reached this years County Final following a convincing win over Knockavilla Kickhams in the County Semi Final last Saturday. Played in blustery conditions , the age old saying of ‘goals win games’ was to the fore as we ran out 5-04 to 2-03 winners. The County Final is fixed for Paddy’s weekend with full fixture details to be known after Tuesdays other Semi Final. All support will be appreciated.

Intermediate Hurling: Once again weather conditions took hold on Sunday last as our County League game against Kildangan was postponed due to an unplayable field.

Tipperary Hurling: Well done to the Tipperary Senior Hurling Team and in particular our own Paul Maher who defeated Cork on Sunday to set up a quarter Final birth with Dublin next weekend.

Peil: Our U14’s are in Peil action this Saturday where they face near neighbours Loughmore Castleiney in the ‘B’ Semi Final in Templetuohy. Throw in is 11am and all support appreciated.

U10: Our U10’s played a Divisional Blitz on Saturday last in Dr. Morris Park where they played other Mid Teams. Our thanks to the coaches and parents for bringing them to the blitz.

Scór: Scór Na bPaistí was in Full swing last Saturday night with over 20 children from the club taking part across the various competitions. Well done to our two solo singers, quiz team and our 1st Novelty Act who advance to the Mid A Final while our 2nd Novelty Act and Ballad Group advance to the B Final. Well done everyone as we celebrate 50 years of Scór.

UL: Well done to Muireann Lloyd and the UL team who won the O’Connor Cup over the weekend.

Sympathies: Moyne Templetuohy GAA Club extends its sincere sympathy to the family of Johnny Maher (RIP), Moyne who passed to his eternal reward recently.
