Club Notes 16-04-18

Intermediate Hurling: Our intermediate hurlers had a convincing 11 point win over Ballinahinch in Round 1 of the County Championship on Saturday last. Man of the match Gearoid O’Connor finished the day with 9 points to his name in his first championship appearance. Their focus now turns to the big ball where they take on Moycarkey Borris in the first round of the County Football Championship next Sunday. Time TBC. All support appreciated. Minor Football: Commiserations to Shane Lowe who was part of the Tipperary Minor Football team who suffered defeat at the hands of Kerry last Wednesday night. Shane played a superb game at full back. They now take on Limerick in a qualifier. Best of luck.

Health and Wellbeing: An information evening on Mental Health and wellbeing will take place in Templetuohy Hall on April 28th. Guest speakers on the night include former Tipperary Hurler Seamus Hennessy and Richie Kennedy who’s expertise is on food nutrition. More info available on club website. This is open to all people in the parish and we would appreciate people sharing information with friends and family.

Darkness into Light: The Tipperary GAA County Health and Wellbeing Committee would like to encourage GAA clubs to become involved in the 2018 Pieta House Darkness into Light campaign which commences in the small hours of May 12th and finishes as the sun is rising. Ladies Football: Commiserations to all club members who were part of the Presentation Secondary School Thurles team who competed in the Post Primary All Ireland Schools Final on Sunday.
