All Ireland Fleadh: Congratulations to Scoil Na Maighne who took home the Best Newcomer Trophy and third place overall in the All Ireland Fleadh Final last weekend in Ennis. In horrible wet conditions the band performed excellently and the future looks bright for all these kids. Well done also to Mrs Hogan, Mrs Moore and Mrs Dunne on preparing the band during the summer months.

Cardiac Screening: Cardiac Screening will take place on Saturday September 10th from 9.30am to 5pm. A fee of €65 per person applies however it is free with LAYA Health Insurance. Discounts will apply where more than one member of the family undergoes the screening. This is a very worthwhile process as approximately 2 people per week die from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome. Anyone who requires further information is asked to contact Tom Hassett.
