Club Notes 23-04-18

Intermediate Football: Our intermediate footballers had a two point victory over Moycarkey Borris in Round 1 of the Intermediate Football Championship last Sunday. Match Report now available on website. Their focus now turns to hurling where they take on Thurles Sarsfields in the Mid Intermediate Semi Final next Sunday evening in Templemore at 6.30. All support appreciated.

Minor Football: Congratulations to Shane Lowe who was part of the Tipperary Minor Football team who defeated Limerick last Wednesday night. Shane played a superb game once again at full back. They now take on Waterford in a semi final playoff, where the winner will take on Clare in the Munster Semi Final.

Minor Club: The Minor Football game this Thursday evening vs Na Sairsealaigh Óg is now POSTPONED and will be played the following week. This is due to a trip involving Thurles CBS.

Mid Championship: The club is hosting two all-important Mid Quarter Finals this Saturday in Templetuohy with the first game throwing in at 2pm. The club require numerous stewards to help with parking etc. Anyone interested is asked to contact Mark Dunne or Willie Fogarty ASAP.

Féile Skills: Well done to our juvenile players who represented the club at the Feile Skills evening last week. In the hurling Brian Campion and Kian Dunne performed very well while in the football Conor Duffe and Tomás Collier showed of their football skills. Well done lads

Health and Wellbeing: An information evening on Mental Health and wellbeing will take place in Templetuohy Hall on April 28th. Guest speakers on the night include former Tipperary Hurler Seamus Hennessy and Richie Kennedy who’s expertise is on food nutrition. More info available on club website. This is open to all people in the parish and we would appreciate people sharing information with friends and family.

Darkness into Light: The Tipperary GAA County Health and Wellbeing Committee would like to encourage GAA clubs to become involved in the 2018 Pieta House Darkness into Light campaign which commences in the small hours of May 12th and finishes as the sun is rising.
