Club Notes 29-05-17

U14: Pride of place this week goes to our U14 Footballers who were crowned Mid U14C Football Champions on Saturday last in Templetuohy defeating Durlas Óg on a score line of Moyne Templetuohy 2-08 Durlas Óg 1-02. As there is no ‘C’ competition in the North, the boys now qualify straight into the County Final which is scheduled to take place the weekend of June the 10th.

Intermediate: Well done to our Intermediates who secured a one point victory against St Mary’s in the County Championship on Sunday afternoon last. Final score Moyne Templetuohy 1-14 St Mary’s 0-16. Match report now available to view on the club website.

U12: Commiserations to our U12 Footballers who were narrowly defeated in the County U12 B Football Final on Monday evening last. Final score read Moyne Templetuohy 2-03 Ballylooby Castlegrace 3-09. Hard luck lads!

Field: A sincere thanks to those who helped out in the field on Saturday evening last. Your help is much appreciated. However more assistance is required on match days. Anyone willing to give of their time is asked to contact Willie Fogarty or Tom Hassett in the days leading up to the various games.

Home to Home tournament: The family of the late Kevin Fogarty have organised a Home to Home event in memory of the late Kevin. The Home2Home Run will begin with a 5km family fun-run in Templetuohy, at 8am on June 3. Later on in the day a 5-a-side football tournament will take place in the field. Cost of entry for a team is €150 with each team receiving a set of jerseys. Tickets are also on sale for €25 where you will be entered into a draw which will take place in Clane. The club are urging as many teams as possible to enter to show their support to the late Kevin and his family. Any queries please contact the Senior Secretary ASAP.
