A sincere thanks to both Seamus Hennessy and Richie Kennedy who came to speak to the club on the important and intrinsic area of Health and Wellbeing.
Seamus spoke passionately regarding the area of building a strong local community where care, health and hope are priorities. He then spoke about Running for Josie which sees Seamus running the 2018 Antarctic Ice Marathon to raise money for Pieta House and Living Links Tipperary. We wish Seamus all the best on his travels and any parishioner willing to donate can contact any member of the club committees.
Next to the podium was former professional soccer player Richie Kennedy who spoke about the importance of nutrition not just in the lives of sports people but in the lives of all. His grounding message was to keep things plain and simple, with plenty of water and sleep required for maintaining a healthy body and mind.
The Club would like to sincerely thank both of the lads for giving up their Saturday night to come speak in Templetuohy. Also our thanks to Jimmy Bergin (Health and Wellbeing Officer) and to Naomi Morrissey (Ladies Football Club) for their help in organizing this event. A copy of the presentation given by Richie will be placed on the club website in the coming days.
