Weekend Results

This weekend saw four teams take to the field in competitive action. First up were our U12 Group 5 team who took  on Upperchurch Drombane in the the Mid U12 Group 5 Championship. This game was extremely one sided throughout as we seeked goals from the outset. Final score was Moyne Templetuohy 6-06 Upperchurch Drombane 0-01. The panel on the day was as follows: Adam Jones, Shauna Gleeson, Amy Reddan, Cormac Kiely, Liam Ryan, Ava Ryan, Anna Daly, Lucy Doyle, Emma Leahy, Tadhg Fogarty, Cathal Guilfoyle, David Doyle, Kevin Ryan, Mark Fox and Finn Jones

Next up where our U16 Footballers who took on Moycarkey Borris in the first round of the U16A Championship. Despite a slow start to the game where the opposition rattled in 5 goals, our lads never gave up. Led by Conor Bowe and Gearoid O’Connor we found some rhythm in our play and put together some great plays. The second half proved a better effort where we out scored the opposition 1-07 to 1-02, to reduce the final score to Moyne Templetuohy 2-09 Moycarkey Borris 6-09. The team on the day was as follows: Ciaran Llyod, Kieran Larkin, Shane Lowe, Barry Ryan, Nathan Bowe, Jack Taylor, Bill Hogan, Conor Bowe, Aaron Maher, Dean Lawlor, Gearoid O’Connor, Sean Hayes, Dylan McLoughlin, Martin Ryan, Ben Ryan, subs: Eanna Guilfoyle, Jamie Kiely and Enda Ryan.

Next up were our U21 Hurlers who took on Loughmore Castleiney in the Preliminary Round of the Mid U21B Championship. In what turned out to be a thrilling game of hurling Moyne Templetuohy Thurles Gaels, came out on top with two points to spare. Despite trailing by 4 points at the interval, Moyne T/Thurles Gaels pushed Loughmore all the way with Jamie Morrissey, Diarmuid Leahy and Mark Ryan all contributing to this fantastic result. Final result in Templetuohy was Moyne T/Thurles Gaels 2-15 Loughmore Castleiney 3-10. The team on the day was as follows: Colin O’Shaughnessy, Daniel O’Shaughnessy, David Lowe, Paul Morris, Brian Fanning, Tom Maloney, Curtis Ryan, Diarmuid Leahy, Mark Ryan, Damien Cantwell, Cormac Lanigan, Paddy Dunican, Chris Lawlor, David Fogarty, Jamie Morrissey.

Last up where our U12 Footballers who took on Holycross Ballycahill in Round 3 of the Mid U12 Group 3 Championship. This game was extremely one sided throughout,with Moyne Templetuohy showing their strngth and depth to record a comfortable victory. On the day there were some notable performances from Cormac Deegan, Bill Brolan, Helen Cleere and Brian Campion. Final score in Templetuohy read Moyne Templetuohy 6-12 Holycross Ballycahill 0-00. The team on the day was as follows: Jake Bowe, Danny Moore, Niamh Dunne, Tomas Collier, Aaron McLoughlin, Helen Cleere, Brian Campion, Bill Brolan, Cormac Deegan, Kian Dunne, Evan Leahy, subs: Diarmuid Campion, Michaela Ely and Martin Cleere.

Fixtures for the coming week sees our Minor Footballers begin their Championship with an away game to Drom/Inch on Wednesday evening at 6.30pm in the Ragg.
