Our u19 footballers, pictured above, claimed the mid title last Wednesday evening against Loughmore Castleiney. They came out convincing winners on the scoreline of 6-8 to 2-5. It is thought they will face Clonakenny Moneygall in the county semi-final with date and venue to be confirmed. The premier intermediate hurlers also had success in their relegation battle with Newport today and remain safe in the Premier Intermediate grade for next year. The score there was 1-23 to 1-18 with Gearóid O’Conor getting the deserved man of the match award scoring 17 points, 7 from play. Our focus now moves to the intermediate footballers who take on Aherlow in their county quarter final next Saturday week the 21st at 4pm also in Dundrum. All support would be greatly appreciated.
Juveniles: This week was relatively quiet for the juvenile teams, with only the U17s in action. They competed on Saturday against Golden-Kilfeacle GAA in the County Hurling Quarter Final. The team delivered an excellent performance, though they were unfortunate to come up short in the end. With this result, the hurling season concludes for this group of players. We extend our congratulations to them for their hard work and resilience; they have shown tremendous spirit and a commendable 'never say die' attitude. We wish them well
In the upcoming football championship.
Ladies football: U14s had a great performance to get a well deserved win against Arravale Rovers on Friday evening and have now completed all championship rounds and await semi final details.
