Your eyes are not deceiving you-same team different county title! They‘ve done the double! 🏆🏆

Today it was the Peil football county final title that this fantastic team added to their list of achievements this year.
The boys came through a tough round of matches on Saturday where they beat Moneygal Clonakenny and Newport but lost heavily to Ballingarry. And it was that Ballingarry team the boys had to face in todays final in Dr. Morris Park.

The boys started strongly today and were up 1-1 to 3 points at half time. Ballingarry came out strongly in the second half and got the first score to draw level. However Moyne Templetuohy battled and worked hard to score another 1-3 to Ballingarry’s 2 points. It was a much more evenly contested affair than when the sides met on Saturday and both sides missed their chances.

Moyne Templetuohy held on to be named Peil County Division 3 champions. They have achieved the double-Peil and Féile champions in the same year. I stand to be corrected but I do think this is the first time this has ever been done by this club. I do know the club reached both finals one year when the competition was u14, and that team went onto win the football but lost the hurling to Toomevara.
